Manne wants to create a Jämtland Gastronomy Visitor Center

Manne Mosten runs Norra Station in Östersund and also organizes various food and cultural experiences together with local food artisans and restaurateurs. He sees the designation as a great asset for Östersund and Jämtland and has himself participated in several trips organized by the network, including to China and Scotland.

Gastronomy education at MIUN thanks to collaboration with Italy’s Parma

Wilhelm Skoglund is a lecturer at Mid Sweden University and teaches, among other things, social entrepreneurship. He is also one of the dedicated enthusiasts who were involved from the very beginning, when Östersund and Region Jämtland Härjedalen applied to become a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy.

Fabienne launched a food festival – wanted to promote Östersund and Jämtland as a gastronomic region

Fabienne Theiler moved to Sweden from Switzerland in 2015 to experience life in Norrland. She got a job as a project manager at Torsta, where she would work with gastronomy and culinary tourism.

Odensala School’s adapted compulsory school received a study visit from Spain – now they want to go out into the world themselves

In spring 2021, the school Raquel Paya in Dénia, Spain, contacted Östersund municipality with an inquiry. They wanted to get in touch with other schools for "functional challenged students", the equivalent of our adapted compulsory school, and therefore sought help from UNESCO's gastronomic network.
